For the first time in our company’s history, we at Stage Entertainment Germany have teamed up with a subsidized theatre to produce a musical.

Austria’s Landesbühnen Linz is one of the few state theatres that regularly stages musical productions. Our creative producer Simone Linhof approached them some time ago with the suggestion that we join forces, and she quickly managed to convince them of the advantages a partnership would bring. For example, without Stage Entertainment’s broad technical and creative expertise, Linz would be unable to produce a complex musical production like Ghost in its regular repertoire season. Stage, on the other hand, not only benefits from the friendly license conditions, it also saves a lot of money on the physical production while only paying a small royalty to Linz when the show runs in Germany. And since some of our production team members took part in the Linz show, we gained valuable expertise for our Berlin run, which will premiere in December.

The Austrian press was very positive about the Linz theatre’s partnership with ‘musical giant Stage Entertainment’, writing rave reviews of the show. See the German team happy on opening night.
